Doomsday is a word that is thrown around all too often these days, and in The Obsolete Cardboard Doomsday affair it is being thrown at the world’s worst great detective, Archibald Nerk. Will he save the day? Will the dastardly Mr. X triumph? Will the audience become sick of rhetorical questions? Zero-budget and loving it, ‘TOCDA’ is the kind of anything-goes, post-modern, surreal comedy that laughs in the face of anyone simple enough to call it an anything-goes, post-modern, surreal comedy. |
